Where does the name Sequana™ originate?
The name Sequana™ is that of a Celtic Goddess, known as a bestower of health and as the living spirit of the earth. As Goddess of the River Seine, she was the Mother Goddess of the tribes of Celts who lived on her shores and islands 3,000 years ago. In the Celtic belief system, the spirit of the earth was often embodied in water -- in springs, rivers, lakes and later, the "sacred" or "holy" wells. Sequana™ is both the surface and underground waters of the Seine, the tributaries and all of the lands drained by them. Water was venerated by the Celts as a source of life-force, as well as for its cleansing, curative and numinous properties. Numinous, as defined by The Oxford Concise Dictionary, means spiritual or divine. When depicted in human form, Sequana™ carries a cornucopia, an overflowing container of fruits and vegetables, frequently called “the horn of plenty”. The cornucopia is a symbol of bounty, a visual representation of abundance and life sustenance. In depictions without the cornucopia, Sequana's™ arms are outstretched in welcome. Sequana™ embodies the essence of Belief Re-patterning™. Symbolizing nurturing, abundance and healing in a welcoming way, Sequana™ is both grounded and spiritual. The logo depicts her with arms outstretched focusing the abundant life energy and bringing it to us. She brings us inspiration and clarity as we share this work in an accepting, loving and open way. We are abundant thinkers and love ourselves unconditionally thereby providing a beacon for others to do the same. We appreciate your decision to move forward, to grow and to learn. As we each find our light, the world becomes brighter. The members of The Sequana™ Initiative are honoured to assist you in your personal journey. Information about becoming a member of The Sequana™ Initiative can be found in the Courses page. |
